I had this air-conditioner installed in January 2023, and it has been nothing but trouble since. The guarantee means nothing. The company that installed it has been to my home many times. At one point, I had to pay R1200 despite it still being under guarantee. I called Alaska Air-Conditioning Durban today and was told that the installer carries the technical guarantee, and they will supply the spare parts. So essentially, I have no guarantee.
This Aircon is installed in the room of a disabled person. The guarantee expires in December 2023. I should have gone for a reputable and established brand like Samsung or Carrier instead. I'll just have to cut my losses, throw this thing out, and replace it with something else. What a waste of time and money.
