I recently visited Game in Mall @ Reds, Centurion & was surprised to see a "Defy 12000 BTU Indoor AC Unit" advertised at R1300 & another "Defy 12000 BTU outdoor AC Unit" advertised at R2999.
Upon enquiring about the price difference & what the difference was between the outdoor & indoor units, the store manager Mr Chetty indicated that the units advertised are being sold separately, thus a complete AC unit will cost (R4299)
However, nowhere on the in store advertising does it indicate "1of2 & 2of2", thus making it a complete unit.
What it does state is "INDOOR unit and 12000 BTU Compressor Unit" thus a complete working AC unit.
I asked Mr Chetty how they could then falsely advertise the price as being R1300, not indicating it is not a complete unit. Mr Chetty denied it being false advertising & pointed out that GAME could not advertise the complete description for all customers... Thus by not advertising or making it clear to customers what the "hidden terms and conditions/descriptions" are, it is in fact false advertising as it is incomplete.
I would like Game Stores to supply the complete unit as advertised in store at R1300. (Photos were taken of pricing advert indicating R1300
