I purchased a Samsung 46" 3D Led TV from Game on 30/03/2012. 14 months later a horizontal band appeared across the top of the entire screen. Game informed me that because the TV was 2 months out of warranty I should contact Samsung about repairing it, which I did. Samsung recommended I take the TV to it's official repair agents, Liptronics, in Parow. I booked it in for repair on 04/06/2013. After 2 days Liptronics informed me that the TV required a new front panel and that they had requested a depreciated quote from Samsung as the TV was just over a year old. I have subsequently made numerous calls to Liptronics as to when my TV will be repaired and they keep telling me that there is nothing that they can do as Samsung have not replied to any of their e-mails regarding a quote for the front panel. I have made 3 calls to the Samsung support centre and they can not help as they need a reference number which Samsung has failed to issue to Liptronics with regard to this TV. It has now been over 4 weeks and I am still no closer to having my TV repaired. One would expect more after spending R 10 000 on a TV that lasted just over a year.
