I am disgusted and outraged with the price of having a 102cm led UA40D5003 tv repaired by Samsung. On 5 February 2012 I decided to purchase a Samsung led tv for R4, 949 as I am very confident with the Samsung brand. On 27 of May the one quarter of the screen of the tv was pitch black I returned the tv to house and home where it was purchased and requested them to send this to samsung to get a quote to fix the tv as it was just out of the 12 month guarantee. I was contacted by Marius house and home Brits store manager and were given a quote of R5, 080 to have this "new" tv fixed. I ask the question, a new 102 cm cost R5, 000, why do I then have to pay R10 0000 for the same tv the original price being R5, 000 and the repair R5, 000??? Samsung have to be exposed as this is outrageous and ludicrous. I will not purchase another Samsung tv as my 72 cm logic tv has been working for the last 10 years. do we pay for the name???
