We hired a car for 2 weeks in December 2012. In the first week a guy reversed into the rental car in a parking area at a medical center, while we were parked in a marked parking space. The car was damaged but not so badly that we needed another car. We took the person's contact details etc., got a case number at the police station and notified Tempest immediately. When we returned the car we filled out all the necessary documents and in January we got notified that the excess amount of R3000 plus admin fees would be deducted from our credit card account but would be claimed from Outsurance and repaid. We have been emailing for months now and we have been told on 10 April 2012 that a release of payment was made on 14 March 2012 and still we are waiting... and waiting.
