On the 6th may I posted this report
"In February, I purchased a number of items from a supplier in the US who compiled the order and shipped it to me in SA.. After paying R1300 in shipping costs, my goods excitedly arrived in SA. As part of my shipment, I ordered some health supplements which cost me around R500.00.
When the shipment arrived in SA, it was detained by customs and after persistently calling DHL almost daily, my parcel was finally assessed by customs after about 65 days!
Following the inspection, it was found that one of the 4 suppliments was incorrectly submitted by DHL, even though I had provided a full detailed description with a print out of all the product labels to obtain the original clearance.
I was then told to pay a R1500 penalty on a R200 product. I grudgingly paid it as the parcel included a bday pres for my girlfriend. When the parcel finally arrived 10 days later, the offending suppliments had been from my shipment. I called and was told there was not much to do as it had been too long in their stores but they will see."
After hello Peter report they made some progress but 2 months later, they still have not been returned.
