Together my husband and I have been with Absa bank for like 30years but when we as a couple try to apply for a home loan for our very first house it is declined. No reasons are given and if you eventually are able to drag information out via via viait doesn't make sense. We are just told our "scoring". Well, according to TransUnion (the ITC ppl) we both have no defaults or judgements against our name and all accounts have either been paid up in full or are 100% paid on time. Our income is also more than sufficient to cover a bond so why are they not able to assist us. Is it because you don't like helping "self-employed" people and if not, then why do you encourage small businesses such as my husband to bank with you? You offered him an upgrade to his credit cards to platinum status so ja something is not adding up. Please advise so we know what to work on as simply our "score" means nothing to us. If we don't have specifics how can we improve it! Please we have been loyal to you over 30 years, now it time to return the courtesy. We seem to just be a number on an application to you and not a real person who actualy has their heart set on owning their own home.
