Nedbank
Bank refiuses to honour commitment

I lodged a complaint late last year because I requested a reduced repayment on my loan account for the period I would be on maternity leave. I wanted to make a lumpsum payment of R10000. I was advised that this was not possible. The person who looked into the complaint said it was policy but undertook to escalate the complaint at my request. She contacted me to advise that the bank could only agree to the following: a 50% instalment for the first month and then the full instalment for the remaining 3 months (which would amount more or less to the R10000 lumpsum). In January they dedcued the full instalment via debit order. I contacted them and they agreed to rectify, which they did not do. I had my bank return the disputed debit order. Nedbank contacted me and agreed to recover the 50% instalment as well as the 100% instalment at the end of the month. They debited me for twice the 50% instalment a full instalment. The following month the same debit orders were processed. When I complained again they refunded me the one 50% instalment and refuse to refund the other as they said my account was in arrears! This goes against what they proposed in resolution to my complaint!
