First National Bank
Pay for perks

I was informed that I qualified for a Platinum Account with its associated benefits telephonically. I had been retrenched in 2009, and had to sell my property via the FNB quicksell program. The agreed amount was offered, and the bond was settled. I was re-employed in 2010, and after managing my account and earning enough anually, which resulted in the upgrade to a Platinum package. No terms and conditions were explained to me, more specifically that I would be charged R 1250.00 for usage of the Slow Lounge facilities at our domestic airports, when travelling.

Had I been informed that I was a "risk" client, and had to pay for these "perks', I would not have made use of them.

My wife and I were co-owners of our property, and she still has full access to all her associated benefits (e-bucks etc. )
I have settled over draughts and any credit owed, more than two years ago. I need justice here as I am being penalised after FNB approached me for an upgrade.

I have lodged a complaint with my branch with this reply: "I regret to inform you that your request was declined as our terms & conditions are specific as to the slow lounge criteria."
