Emergency trauma/accident/tow line down

Last night I snapped my clutch cable on the way home from work. At first I was not too worried as I know that I have emergency road side assist and towing included in my insurance policy.

I tried calling Virgin Insurance 18 times between 19:10 and 20:00 last night to try and arrange for my vehicle to be towed. On every occasion the call cut out after selecting option 3 for emergency assistance. I also tried the general numbers without any luck. When I got home, I tried again from a different phone but without any success.

Not only did the 18 calls cost me money, but I ended up having to drive my vehicle to the closest mechanic without a clutch, which is known to cause damage to the gearbox. The worst of it all, however, is that there were very likely other people in much more pressing situations than myself who were also not able to get through to you.
