On 29 August my VW Golf 1 snapped its clutch cable.
Weiss VW staff, especially the manager and one mechanic went out of their way to assist me.
I purchased the replacement clutch cable, but when I needed the clutch cables locking clips (to the clutch control arm on the gearbox) none was in stock,
I was stuck on the side of the road. The manager on duty heard of my problem, and very quickly organised the 2 locking clips FROM A STAFF MEMBERS VEHICLE!!
This was supplied to me free of charge, AND THEN NOT STOPPING THERE
As I was about to fit the clutch cable, one of the mechanics from VW came cross the road from their premises, and fitted the clutch cable for me.
THIS WAS DONE AFTER 17:00, THEIR CLOSING TIME,
and when I wanted to pay the mechanic for his help, he REFUSED PAYMENT COMPLETELY
stating that the customers satisfaction comes first.
