I was going through my bank statement this morning and noticed that MiWay only debited me R80.54 instead of R616. I immediately phoned them to find out why. I spoke Hope Swalo who advised me that it was due to a system error and they will debit the amount with April's premium. I was not happy with her response at all so I asked for a manager and spoke to Diana Selau who told me they can either debit prorata or i won't have cover. My argument is, there was a system error, they knew about it but they did not send me an email or sms to make me aware. I had to figure this out myself and phone them today (15 days after the agreed date). The money was ready in my account on the 25th and they debited an incorrect amount. I refuse to pay this at a future date since this was never arranged. I work on a budget and i cannot afford to pay last month's premium this month and i refuse to be without cover either. This is MiWay's problem not mine and i was never even notified about it. I need this rectified without me being affected or i'm cancelling the policy. I need this resolved asap since i don't even know if i have cover.
