TRANSFER OF PENSION TO WIDOW

My stepfather passed on the 25th of August 2012. We submitted the application for the transfer of his pension to my mother, his widow on the 31st of August and when I phoned the call centre middle of September, they confirmed having received the application and all should be finalised and granted by early October. I have phoned on numerous occassions and spoke with the following people: Thando, Maurice, Caroline, Gail, Bongi and a few others - to enquire about the status, and everytime since the beginning of November, we are told that it has been granted, and it's on the payroll, but no one can advise me as to when funds will be paid to my mother's account. Then all of the sudden in December when I followed up, the girl assisting me, could not pick up any entry on the account, but when I phoned and requested a Supervisor's assistance I was told again it's on the payroll. For a pensioner that was relying on that payment every month to survive and not receiving any for 4 months is hard. My mother is struggling to survive and we are not getting any joy from any one at MIBFA.
