Slow with processing of applications / No feedback

My husband passed away Feb 2013. As his legal widow I qualify for monthly widow pension, pension fund death benefit as well as continued medical subsidy.
The WCED submitted ALL necessary forms to the GEPF in June 2013. Since then I struggled with the GEPF. The lump sum as well as any back pay was only paid out during first week Oct 2013 after numerous calls from myself as well my attorney. The Call Centre mostly take forever to answer calls!
The monthly widow pension first payment was on 29 Nov with no official statements or any explanation/ feedback as why I did not received any payment at the end of Oct 2013.
When I called the Call Centre on 4 Nov 2013 to quarry about the widow pension, the call was answered after an hour of hold on. Then I found that the application for continued medical subsidy was not filed on the system. I sent the necessary forms, which were also submitted in June, to the email address provided. I got no confirmation. Up to date no successful processing of my application or any feedback.
Now I cannot upgrade my medical plan @ the Scheme, because of the delay of the GEPF! I also struggle to afford the premium paid out of my account each month!
