I had an accident with my insured vehicle and when I claimed, Miway said i gave them false information. I then took the case to the Ombudsman and they agreed with Miway. Two years down the line I cannot get a quotation from a reputable insurance because of the voidance of my Miway policy. I had to pay R35000 to fix my car myself because Miway said I was witholding information for a R5000 accident claim which I did not mention because it was a cosmetic claim and not an accident and it was for that reason alone that I did not mention it, not to withold it from then to get a lesser premium. The difference for my premium would have probably have been about R50 more! I am completely mortified at taking out any insurance since then and will never feel safe or fully covered or at ease with any insurance after my experience with Miway!!! So now I am labelled as a person! I despise Miway and will never ever recommend them to anyone... so completely broken over this entire ordeal... and I still feel the financial strain two years down the line!
