On the 27th of March 2013 on my to Durban i was involved in a car accident, the vehicle is comprehensively insured with Mutual and Federal. I reported the accident and the vehicle was towed to Lydhurst repair centre, the insurance sent the assesor and the vehicle damage was assessed and the claim was approved. I was informed that my vehicle will be ready on the 28th of May 2013, on the day of delivery i was informed that the vehicle has failed the quality test. The insurer took two months to investigate the problem, after then they informed me that the engine was damaged and they will have to import a new engine from Germany. I told them that this is unfair as they could take months to source the engine and they must replace my car as it was only two months old. Mutual and Federal is basically ignoring me as their Client and have failed to commit in writing when the engine will be delivered and installed, as well as to confirm that the value of the car will not be compromised. Mutual and Federal has demonstrated complete disregard for my concerns, to date i have not received a official response since i have sent a letter of my concerns on the 14th of June 2013. Please assist.
