I had a minor accident over the weekend. No one got hurt nor was the car visibly damaged save for two blown tyres. I called Virgin Insurance for a tow to the nearest service station and that's when my ordeal began. First the customer service drone who picked up got my call started yammering about my need to file a police report and to bring the car in for an assessment totally oblivious to my plight. This whilst I was still cooling my heels on the R511. I was also not informed that the assessment could only happen a day later and had to find this out from the tow truck guy. Fast forward to today and I've now been told I will have to pick up my car from Hermanstad in Pretoria but I live in Morningside. Why my car simply couldn't be transferred to a closer assessment center is beyond me. Oh but wait, it gets better, I emailed Policy Services at the address provided in my welcome e-mail (i.e. [Email Removed] ) and it bounced. I called their main line to report it and was told they were in the process of moving hence the non-working e-mail. I shudder to think of what would've happened to me were I out of state. A total shambles- avoid at all costs!
