New Chip Card - Acc balance confusion

I recently received my new ABSA chip card and I find it an inconvenience of note.

if I could get an old card somewhere I would definitely change it for that.
The new card gives you such an irritation and confused Available balance versus your current balance.

One minute I have R 1000 in my cheque account, then R 200 then R 700, then back to R 200.

I never know what I actually have in it!! Please take away the terribly annoying, frustrating new rubbish system and just tell me straight on my sms when I purchase an item what I actually have in my account!!

I now find myself adding and subtracting in my head what I have actually spent and how much should be there in my account. I just cannot rely on the sms's when I purchase an item, .

It's a pain in the rear end and I honestly think it's time to either close my account and join FNB as I have inquired what and how their system works as compared to ABSA'S system and its straightforward.

If I purchase an item of R10 and I have R100 in my account I would expect to have R90 left. Then I get an sms I have R40, then back to R 50, then later on again R100. one word: IRRITATING.
