Wednesday, 27 March my husband tried to withdrae money from an ATM in Parow. The card was swollowed. Upon going to the bank it was mentioned that he will have to pay for the return of the card and after spending alomst the entire Saturday at Parow Mall FNB - the account would be activated in 24hrs. Unfrotunately this was nto so. Monday 04 March he returned to the FNB only to be told he cannot make a withdrawal inside the bank and that the card would be activated in the day or for the latest 24h00. This morning - still nothing! This is completely unacceptable as now our accounts are in arrears because he cannot access HIS money. Borrowing money from other people is also not an option! And to date still no alternative to accessing the money has been forthcoming. I cannot believe there is no other option available but to wait for the activation period to kick in. I think it would be best if he is to move from banking with FNB - VERY POOR SERVICE.
