SIM Swop took 3 DAYS to activate

Went to MTN direct store at Riversquare shopping Mall to process a lost cellphone claim on Monday the 4th March 2013 and to block my number. Went to the store on Wednesday the 7th March 2013, to get a sim swop which cost R137.8, while I waited for approval from the insurer. Asked Pule (shop assistant) how long before the sim card is active? He said "2-24hrs." Called the store on Thursday the 7th March at 16:00 to let the other shop assistant, Zoleka know that my claim was approved and the insurerer needed her email address. Arrived at the store at 17:00 and had to also remind Pule that the simcard he issued on the Wednesday was still blocked. He said he would only be able to reactivate the sim card on Friday mornin and he would call me on an alternative number when the sim card was ready. I called the store on Friday the 8th of March at 10:00am to ask what the delay was, was told the USD must still be activated, I should wait 24hrs. Went to a different Mtn store (Boksburg) where I was told the sim card was never activated and that the sim card was faulty. Had to purchase ANOTHER sim card unless I drove 75km to the three rivers MTN branch for another sim!
