First National Bank
Money from account

About 6 weeks ago my husband went to withdraw money from our cheque account at an ATM in Midrand. At the ATM there was a African guy busy at the ATM. When it was my husband turn to use the ATM this african person said to my husband that there is a problem with the machine. He pretended to help my husband and soon left with my husband card. My husband immediately phoned the number to stop his card which was then according to the bank stopped. That same evening when we went to Checkers with my card to get some groceries. At the till point the card kept on giving a "declined" message. The next morning my husband went to FNB at Grove Mall. The person there told him he has to wait because the transaction when the money was, is not appearing on the system yet. We waited 4 days and we returned to the FNB. Then they told us we need to wait a further 6 - 8 weeks because they first do a investigation. WHAT...??? WHY DO YOU HAVE TO STOP YOUR CARD AT THE BANK IF THE STILL MONEY FROM YOUR ACCOUNT??? IT IS -R1300. WHICH TO ME IS ALOT OF MONEY!!! WHY DO WE NEED TO PHONE BUT STILL YOU AS CUSTOMER HAS TO LOSE... WHY??? IT IS RIDICULOUS!!!
