I must be honest; Virgin Money gives the worst service that I have ever seen. I don't know if it is because they are a foreign company trying to do business in South Africa or if it is because they are administered by ABSA which, according to me, is the worst banking group currently in South Africa. In the middle of January 2013 I applied online, via a partner website for a Virgin Money Credit card. 2 weeks later on 31 January 2013 I received a call from an Afrikaans speaking lady that asked me a lot of questions for the application. I answered all. She then said that the application is referred and that I must send my supporting documentation to [Email Removed] I sent all supporting documentation on 31 January 2013 to [Email Removed] and received an automated message back with reference number EC: D11FF31A stating that a consultant will be in contact. To date, 1 full month has passed since I sent my supporting documentation and more than 1.5 months have passed since I applied. Now please let me tell you, you can shove this credit card application where the sun does not shine.
