I applied for a cheque and credit card account on 21 November 2012. I received my cheque card about a month ago but the credit card is still outstanding. I have no idea how thoroughly they need to validate my application but two months seems to be pushing it. They received all the documentation as per their request on the same or following day. I think fnb regarding this can learn from their clients we provide them with what they require on time just to be kept on a leash. A fnb representative called me two days ago which was much of an surprise as I already forgot i applied for a credit card. They assessed my application as per a graduate I only hold two National Diploma's in Engineering and busy with my degree this was not requested by me. This is why my payslip was sent to them various occasions. This was due to in the first week of the application i received calls from a couple of fnb representatives each requiring the same documentation. Now due to the my qualification not being a degree only will they start to assess the application again based on my payslip. Guess i should be expecting another two months delay?
