Virgin Insurance - Lightning damage

I logged a call with Virgin Money Insurance after my house was hit by lightning. I had 2 faulty routers and a faulty switch. I consulted my documentation and it stated that i don't have to pay access on Lighting damage. After submitting the claim i was told that i have an access of R750, I told them that the documentation said something differently. Long story short they refunded me without me paying the R750. Now they have uploaded new documentation with no mention of Lightning/surge damage.
I'm of the opinion that if they change my policy like this i have to accept? Surely more/less is payable because of the access? How does this work? If i now have an access then surely i must pay more to cover the access?
This is unacceptable? how can changes like this be made without my consent?
