Pathetic, incompetent service time and time again

Standard Bank has been a recurring disappointment in countless aspects, from posting me CONFIDENTIAL bank statements from people that have absolutely no connection to me, to keeping me on hold for an hour at a time on customer care lines.

The latest complaint I have about Standard Bank was getting new cards for both my accounts as my previous cards were were old and tatty, after specifically countlessly ASKING the lady if the new cards were activated immediately and her re-assuring me that they were, it was soon to be discovered that i couldn't swipe my card in emergency situations (putting in petrol in an empty tank), nevermind draw money either from BOTH accounts! So I sat with a tank full of petrol that couldn't be paid for.

I proceeded to call customer care in one last attempt, after explaining my situation for TEN MINUTES about my non-working cheque and savings accounts, the MORONIC woman put me through to another department., which i had to relay my entire dilemma again to, followed by her telling me that she is from the credit card department. Standard Bank, your pathetic service never ceases to amaze me.

Do not know why I still bank with you.
