I'm considering switching banks, and actually considered switching over to Standard Bank.
I contacted them for info regarding their different products and pricing (cheque & savings accounts, credit cards, home loans, etc.) and also with regards to consolidating loan and credit card debt as well as debit orders. I was kept on the line for 55 minutes, transferred 6 times and absolutely no department could help or provide me with any advice (and I spoke to General Enquiries, General Customer Enquiries, Credit Cards Division, New Business Dept, Customer Assist). FNB here I come! What a way to lose potential clients Standard Bank! Good Job!
