No one willing to take responsibility

Years ago I had a credit card with FNB. After I couldn't make payments a debt collection agency contacted me and setup debit order so I can settle my account. I gladly signed off on the debit orders and after months of making regular payments the debit orders finally stopped. Years went by and I didn't hear from FNB at all. Even after asking the credit department for a acknowledgement of account settlement nothing happened.

I was very intrigued by FNB's marking over the past year and decided that I would like to close my accounts with my bank and move everything across to FNB which is where my business account is. Upon application I was told that I have not yet settled my previous credit card account.

I reached out to my local FNB branch he directed me to EDC Assist which in my opinion are a bunch of robots that have no sense of initiative. I've sent numerous emails over the past 5 months and even copied Brenda Venter who got involved once or twice.

It doesn't seem to matter which channels I follow, I'm unable to get a response. I still don't know how I ended up owing FNB money and they can't seem to tell me either.

There is a HUGE gap in your service here. PLEASE HELP!!!
