On Friday the 18th of January, my wife and I went to East Rand Mall, to change our address details, having recently got married, and then extended the rental lease in our apartment. I went to both Absa and Nedbank, both banks whom I do not like very much. And they both accepted the lease agreement as new proof of residential address. When walking into the FNB branch, immediately I was told to wait at a desk, and they were calling the Supervisor. The supervisor returned advising that they do not accept the 'bought' lease agreements from CNA, only if it is typed out by the landlords. I then asked to speak to the Branch Manager, who at first said he can't understand why they can't accept the agreement. then after speaking to the Supervisor also said they can't accept this. Both of them do not have the faintest Idea of customer care. My wife and I were seated, and both of them remained standing during the conversations, thus talking 'down' to me, making me, the customer, feel that they are enforcing that they are right. In the end, the solution as proposed by the branch manager, was to get a statement from Nedbank, and then they will change the address. APPAULING customer service!
