Not good enough for FNB!

A month ago I decided to change banks and go with FNB. Today, I finally took some time during lunch and went to FNB to do so. Guess what happened?

They did not accept my lease agreement (with the rental agency) as proof of residence, because it does not contain the province name, but only the complex name and number. They want me to go to my current bank (Standard Bank) and ask them to print in their letterhead my residence details.

Now here comes the funny part: Standard Bank got my residence details from my lease agreement! The same Lease Agreement that FNB refuses to accept! And yet, according to the FNB gentleman who saw me, they will accept my residence details in a letterhead from Standard Bank without any problem! However somehow they do not accept from the same source that Standard Bank used!

I wanted to change banks to FNB because I was saturated with how Standard Bank handled things. But if this is how FNB handles their business, then no thank you!

FYI: list of agencies that accepted my Lease Agreement as proof of residence:
- Standard Bank
- CellC Contract
- SARS
- 1st for Woman

If my lease agreement is not good enough for them, then they are not good enough for me!
