BANK LOST CHEQUE, PREMIER BANKING USELESS

I deposited a cheque for a significant amount at FNB Long Street, Cape Town on Monday 20 Jan. On Friday 15H30 (when the bank closed) i received an SMS telling me they will be debiting my account (cheque had not been cleared at this stage). Reason Cheque MISSING. This must happen so frequently that they don't even bother to pick the phone up. To add insult to injury, they debit my account, my salary gets paid in and I end up with an overdraft because of the uncleared amount. I contacted the so called premium bankers twice, and received an email back advising i must go to the bank where the cheque was deposited. What do these people think we do all day, hang around just waiting to go to the bank? I am absolutely disgussted that the bank could not even send me formal letter to acknowledge their incompetence. How the do you loose a cheque in a bank???!!! UTTERLY DISGUSTED IN THE WAY FNB IS HANDLING THIS. PREMIER BANKER PFFFT
