Account overdrawn due to unchanged account profile

My name is Katlego, I was working for standard bank in 2011. Its been almost 2 years since I left the Bank but my account profile still shows that I'm staff. On the 06 of July I sold my car and the person who bought it deposited a cheque in my account and the funds were available immediately, but I wanted to make sure that the entry was real, so I withdrew some of the money inside the bank and the bank teller said she have to asked authorisation as I withdrawing R50 000. I got the money and on Tuesday the 08 of July 2013 the cheque was unpaid. I went to a standard bank branch to query the unpaid cheque, but the bank said I'm at fault because my account profile is stating that I'm staff and that staff accounts don't have a hold on their accounts hence the money was available at the first place. I told the bank manager that I'm not getting any staff benefits, and that they should have changed the status when I left the bank 2 years ago. So now I'm sitting with a minus of R68 000 because the bank didn't change my account profile. I have a home loan with Standard bank and I'm not getting staff discounts, but now that they blaiming me for their negligence of clearing the funds
