Ref: 004281156, I applied for a home loan with Standard Bank and it was declined by the bank, claiming that I have unpaid debit orders in my cheque account with First National Bank. "The declination letter received from Standard Bank "Says poor management of cheque account". I have explained this very well to several Standard Bank Home Loan Consultants that those were not unpaid debit orders. It was reversals done by the First National Bank as per my request, because of unauthorized debit order transactions worth R12000.00 that occur on my account without my authority. If the bank statement can be perused very well, it clearly indicates that these were unauthorized debit orders. Vodacom SA debited my account instead of my employers account, if you can look carefully on my bank statement there was funds before on my cheque account when Vodacom debited the R 12000.00 from my account, there were still funds remaining even after Vodacom have deducted money from my First National Bank. So I really don't see any reason for Standard Bank to decline my application just because of this matter. If I was on ITC I was going to understand, but now im not on ITC/ Credit Bureau.
