Absa Insurance knows how to take people for a ride

I took out a policy with Absa Idirect in Jan 2012 after 1st for Woman cancelled on me. Obviously they wouldnt have issued the policy if they didnt get the correct info from me. And it would have been easy for them to check as that is how companies operate. However, in September 2012 a claim was turned down but I was never advised ever of the reasons. No communication whatsoever at all!! After a phonecall today, I was told it was because of "non disclosure" and that they would then promptly have to cancel my policy, after 15 months of paid premiums!! They strangely enough increased my premium in October and all this only came out after an enquiry today! So they have been taking my premiums without batting an eyelid! As it is, it is already difficult to get my goods insured so they just made it a trifle bit more difficult. I cancelled the policy myself, and really feels that they had the gal to increase my premiums, refuse me any future claims, but had no problem taking my money. And they can only refund me if they cancelled the policy! And I am probably once again flogging a dead horse with any Absa related situation as usual.
