Vehicle and Asset Finance disappointment

I received a phone call from an attorney today stating that my vehicle account for my Hyundai i10 was in arrears and had been handed over. I had paid my account up to date in mid December and was assured that my next due date would be moved from the 2nd of every month to the last day of every month. I called the call center to try sort out this problem as I have the reference number from the phone call that I was promised that my due date would be moved and they gave me a number for Rachel which is constantly engaged. I now have to make a double payment to get my account up to date which I cannot afford and I have legal fees to pay on top of it. This is not acceptable. How can you assure me that my due date would be changed and then not do it. I would like this to be sorted out immediately as I am not impressed to say the least.
