FICA put a hold on my account

Thanks so much ABSA (I wish there was a font called sarcasm, I would use it now!)
I went to pay for medicine for my kids on Tues & was told my my cards (credit and debit) were declined.
Thank I have FNB cards too, but still, most embarrassing! Thought I would sort the cards out on Sat at a branch.
Inconvenient, but what the hey...
I then made internet payments to SANRAL for the tolls in order to make the deadline for the discount on Tues, which I thought was successful. I went back onto my account today only to notice that I had more money than I thought. Upon further investigation, I noticed that the 3 payments I made on Tues, incl 2 to SANRAL, all failed. No notifications, no reasons, no idea why!
Called the call centre to find out & was told that FICA had put a hold on my account?
Now I have to bring proof of residence (ABSA has had my bond for more than 8 years), an electricity bill & my ID . I've done all this - 5 years ago when I changed my name when I got married, again in 2011 when my first baby was born, & again at the beginning of 2013. You've cause embarrassment, cost me time and money and now you've lost a customer - all for the lack of giving me a call.
