My account was Fica'd and now there is a hold on

I used to work for Absa until August 2012, my account was Fica'd numerous times, the last time was at the beginning of 2012. Today I tried to draw money and I received an error message from the ATM, I had to phone the call centre and when I did, I was told that my account has a Fica hold. When I was working at Absa in the branch, we had this problem were client's had to bring in their Fica documents on numerous occasions, even just after openning their account and client's used to get furious. This is unacceptable, nothing has changed on my account. I recently moved my account to Std bank but had service problems so I am moving my salary back to Absa, I did not close my Absa cheque account. Luckily I still had money in my Std cheque, so I could draw money. Is the banking service in this country really that pathetic. I am not taking the Fica documents in, I want the hold lifted by close of business on Monday, otherwise I will close the account and open an account at FNB, they are always advertising as a good bank, so maybe I should try them. My portfolio consist of a chq acct, investment and credit card, my wife will also close her accts and move to Fnb, is Absa willing to lose us.
