Can't trust what they tell you that you will pay

I opened a gold cheque account on the 12th of December 2013. Today I received my first statement. The lady that I spoke to when at the branch explained to me that the monthly charges on the account were R100 and that included unlimited swipes and 6 cash withdrawals pm. Today I was surprised to find a charge of R30 over and above the normal R100. I then phoned the call centre and was told that it is a cash deposit fee. So essentially, when opening the account I was not told the whole truth as the R100 is not the only charge. Not only that but it says nothing about this R30 fee on their deposit slips. It says that they charge an acceptable fee of 0.7% or 2% (?) on all cash deposits...
As a young person who as of now knows very little about banking, you would expect the people that help customers would give all of the information.
I am very disappointed in FNB.
