Consultant Requesting Cash Payments!!

I went to Balfour Park on a Saturday to have a reversal done on my account, there was a consultant in the client services counter who assisted only senoir citizens. I witnessed the consultant accepting a R100 note from an old lady and was surprised as I have worked for ABSA and no cash payments are taken at Client Services.
The consultant did not have any further senior citizens to assist and therefore started calling clients from the normal queue. I was next and therefore proceeded to the lady, I told her I needed a debit order reversed and she immediately told me it would be R50. I assumed that she meant the bank would charge that off my account for the reversal therefore I accepted and she continued.
When she was done and I had signed the reversal form she asked for the R50 payment. I then responded that the bank can take it off my account and she said that it is cheaper to do the payment with her than through the bank because they will charge me about R100!
I told her that I will pay the money at the tellers then and she said its fine she will let the bank charge me the excess amount.
I then realised that she had probably requested the same from the old lady who unknowingly
