I pay my car instalment via EFT everymonth and its due on the 25th, however due to some odd reason, I failed to make EFT on the 25th and made payment the next working day which in this case was the 28th January. Now problem comes when I check my statement I find that I was charged for DCA (Debt Collection Agency) an amount of R352.02.

I then called wesbank and was told that because my payment was not paid on the set date of the 25th I now have to pay for debt collection. Funny enough the DCA was billed to me after payment was received by the bank as per statement from Wesbank.

I find this very strange as my account was not in arrears and my account was only late for 1 Day, what happens if payment was due for more than 30 days?

Can this be rectified and these fees reversed as I think this was just an admin error that can be resolved swiftly.
