I don't have overdraft on my account and over the Dec break I have been very careful with my spending that is I only spend what I have. I have paid off my credit cards and small debt so I can improve on my debt exposure. To my shock I got an sms to notify me that my acc is overdrawn and I log in on my internet banking to my horror I am overdrawn by R8 000, 00. I have NO idea how a discrepancy of this sort can be missed and on top of that for each transaction I am being charged something called "honouring fee" to the tune of R120 per transaction which amounts to R800 in total.

I only spend money when there was a positive balance on my account. I have been VERY specific to say I DO NOT want any over drat on my account and have paid every last cent I owed on it about three months ago and I am not interested in this. If I had known that I don't have the money I would not have spent it. I am obviously NOT going to be penalised for anothers mishap. This is unacceptable, if this is how they trick customers I am moving to another bank with my personal and business accounts sorry!!! I cant believe this, the service is NOT there.
