I opened a cheque account as my husband is a Manager and sold this stupid bank to me. I was on holiday in December and still paid bills etc in Cape Town. Every time I transacted I received sms notification on each transaction. When I logged onto my account I noticed I was charged Honouring Fees of R120 each 4 TIMES!!! I received numerous calls about my account being overdrawn but do you think anyone could explain why i was charged this ridiculous amount!!! I am utterly disgusted! From the beginning I should have known how incompetent Standard Bank is. Opening this account started off a NIGHTMARE and is a clear indication of the fact that Standard Bank has no CLUE what customer service is about! For a new account Im gutted at the service I have received and this is the tip of the iceberg...
