I went to Absa to transfer money to my daughter in England. I filled in the forms as required. I found it very strange that they did not need her banking details as I wanted to deposit the money into her account urgently. I could see they themselves did not know their work. When I asked but why not her bank details they said not necessary. The problem now is she went to her bank and she was told they have never heard of such a transfer. They gave her a telephone no that she has to phone now only on Monday and in the meantime my child has no food to eat. Really very upset. The service is really going down. Another thing I was at the bank on 10 Jan and the stamp they put on my proof of deposit was they 9 Jan.
