The nature of my complaint is as follows. I needed to make a western union money transfer which I believe can be done at this absa branch. I don't have an account with absa therefore I brought my necessary papers only to be told that I also needed a statement from my bank FNB. I went got the statement and when I finally got back to the same banker all of a sudden the statement she needed was one with a letterhead which she did not specify, all that she told me was that I must have the residential address on it. The statement had a stamp from the bank but wasn't good enough, all of a sudden it needed a letterhead also. I can only presume if I went back with a letterhead she would have found another problem to me around AGAIN, So guess who wasted half a day from bank to bank for sweet nothing. In my opinion it seems as though the banker was more interested in not helping me than acutally helping. I guess its so much easier to say I can't help than go through the process of creating a profile for the transfer. Needless to say I will NEVER open an account with pathetic Absa.
