After a massive storm in Randfontein on 29 Nov we have damage to our property. We attempted to register our claim via phone the day after the storm but without success. We thereafter made several other t/phonic attempts but same story, no one answers. We thereafter registered the claim online on 3 Dec. No t/phonic contact was received from Absa. We merely received a sms message on 3 Dec stating that someone will contact us within 48 hrs. What a joke. We then again on 8 Dec received a sms stating someone will contact us within 48 hrs. No one did! On 13 Dec a whole 10 days after the claim was registered we received another sms with contact details of a contractor. WE phoned the contractor who undertook to visit our property at 16H00 on 13 Dec. He never showed up. We made several attempts to contact him on his cell but without success. We then again tried to make t/phonic contact with Absa but same story - NO ONE answers the phones on any numbers given to us. My husband then e-mailed Absa whereafter another contractor phoned us. A contractor came to our property on 20 Dec and then on 23 Dec I get a call from another contractor wanting to visit the property. No one answers to clarify
