I reported a claim on 21 October after a hail storm on 19 October and received a claim number from Salamina at Absa. A few days later the contractor for the ceiling & walls showed up as well as the contractor for the damaged carpets. On 28 October another hail storm hit our town and we were affected again. Only after 3 days of phoning in and 3 phone numbers later I managed to speak to Susan who told me that she will add the info to the original claim and ask the contractors to go visit us again. She also told me that she could see that the original claim was approved. So far, after numerous calls to Absa whithout talking to anyone as you are on hold all the time, sometimes up to 10 minutes before giving up, nothing has happened. Although the voice tell you that your call is important. A week ago we phoned the carpet contractor and they visited us again, after he managed to speak to Absa. But from Absa, nothing, no call, no mail, no sms, nothing, It is as if they have vanished.
