I phoned African Bank`s Customer Services a while ago to confirm that my debit order for december will go off on the 31st of December, as per usual and as per my contract, just to find out that apparently my debit order for mt loan is already loaded for the 19 of December. My question to the consultant was why, if my contract states that my debit order is for the last day of each month, why is it now all of a sudden the 19th? I had a similar problem last year in December where African Bank tried to get money long before the debit order date, when there was no money in the account since I only get paid on the last day of the month! It took them almost 3 months to sort out my problem and reversed the banking charges. So in the case where I am only getting paid on the 31st, who is going to be responsible for the banking charges? I am sure that African Bank are aware that they are in breach of contract and they are not suppose to just deduct money whenever they want!!!
