In 2003/2004 I opened a cheque/current account with Nedbank. A week or two after the account was opened a debit went off the account for a total of R 10 000 but there were no funds in the account. However the account went in to overdraft notwithstanding the fact that there was no overdraft facility on this account. This is my first complaint/problem. Secondly I received a phone call from an attorney a couple of weeks ago stating that I owe Nedbank in excess of R50 000... the interest component being more than 4 times the original amount; this is illegal & my second complaint. Furthermore I also purchased a vehicle through MFC finance in 2010. I'm currently looking to settle this lease & purchase a new car but now I've learned Nedbank has locked this account & for this reason nobody can accesses the details in order to settle it. This is my 3rd complaint. I'm being bullied by the bank for issues that they caused in the 1st instance... this is simply not fair!
