On the 25th of November I went to ATM to withdraw my money only to find out that someone cloned my card and all my money was taken while my card was still in the ATM. I phoned Standard bank to report it and to stop my card immediatly but the money was already gone. I went home to get my ID and went to the nearest Standard Bank to get a new card and the Helpline (0800222050) and I was on the line with them for almost an hour waiting for them to answer the phone, I then went BACK to the Bank to phone them from there. I got through to them and they gave me a Ref number and said I must follow up after 3days. They just informed me from 0112411000 that they wont be able to give me my money back because I reported it to late. As I said I REPORTED IT THE SAME DAY, RIGHT AFTER IT HAPPENDED. I THINK THIS IS JUST AN EXCUSE!!! They told me if I want to go further I can phone 0860101101. When I went to the bank the guy at the Teller told me that there was the same problem at the same ATM the previous day. WHY DOESNT STANDARD BANK TAKE THE TELLER AWAY THERE??? WHY DO YOU TREAT YOUR CLIENT'S LIKE THIS AND YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO HELP YOUR CUSTOMERS WHEN I PAY THE BANK FEES ECT.
