Cards don't work internationally

I called the Card division as i was informed by the forex department that i should to notify me that i should inform them of my travels. they asked details of where i would be going and for how long then said everything was in order and my limit was R5000 per day on card transactions.

i first tried my cards in Dubai and they didnt work. i used my Bluebean Mastercard and it worked.

I arrived in Phuket Thailand and again my cards wouldnt work. I used my FNB Visa Business cheque card and it worked.

I then got desperate so i called the call centre and dispite telling them that i was calling from thailand, i still had to be transfererd from department to department and the call in the end costed me over R200.
1. they said i couldnt draw the amout i wanted because my limit was R1000. Which they managed to change and then i managed to draw cash.
2. they said that the system showed that the merchant swiped the card instead of inserting the chip. I know that not to be true as i was looking at exactly what they did with my card and they did nothing wrong. not to mention that the FNB and Bluebean cards worked.

Thoroughly disappointed and upset.
No trust left! I will never travel with Ned
