Nedbank
Refusal to pay policy

I received a letter from Nedbank on the 8th November stating that my husbands policy lapsed on the 16 Oct 13.
My husband passed away on the 6th Oct 13, I was at the bank on the 8th Oct 13 to give them a copy of his death certificate. My husband has had this Policy with them since 2009, which he paid faithfully every month since 2009. Now they tell me the debit order for the 1st Oct 13 was unpaid, that is why the policy lapsed. I offered to pay the unpaid debit order but they won't let me. I have spoken to numerous people in different departments & nobody wants to help me. The 1st Oct my husband was already on his death bed. He has been unable to work since March, he was in a wheelchair & on oxygen. Is this how Nedbank gets rich? That money was going to help me with all the medical bills I am left with. I am nearly 60 years old, & I feel Nedbank is steeling from me. Could somebody 'intelligent' please contact me from Nedbank so that this matter can be resolved. thank you Yvonne Green
